CAPTAIN’S NEWSLETTER
WINGATE GAME 18TH MARCH 2018
Dear Fellow Nomads,
Thank you to you all for your continued support at our monthly games. We had a total of 131 players, 2 prospective, 8 guests and unfortunately 1 no show. We thank you all for playing and attending prize giving which shows your support and respect for our sponsors. Wingate was in great condition.
Monthly Sponsor
This month we had a new sponsor which was The Standard Newspaper part of Alpha Media Holdings, thank you to Kenias Mafukidze and their Chief Marketing Officer Miss Tandie Ngwenya for the generous sponsorship, particularly so given the prevailing economic challenges in Zimbabwe and I hope you all enjoyed your free copy of The Standard as well as signing up to receive a copy delivered to your doorstep every Sunday. Gentlemen if you or your company would like to sponsor a monthly game please speak to Enock Moyo.
We would also like to thank our Platinum sponsors ZOL, Glenbrynth and Golden Pilsner please kindly support them as they support us.
Wingate Golf Club
Thank you to the Captain of Wingate, Nick Tambling, his Vice Captain Shane Zangel and to the manager of Wingate Golf Club Di Finn and all her staff for all all their hard work to make the course playable I am sure you will all agree with me that the course was in fantastic condition. Thank you must also go to the kitchen and bar staff for the food and making sure the Pilseners were cold and that there was enough ice for the Glenbrynth.
Thank You’s.
The check in table was as usual ably manned by our Nomads Ladies Alison, Lyn, Judy and Alana. Thank you ladies for coming out to Wingate and getting us through the table and making sure that all scores are captured correctly and that the prizes sheet is finished on time.

Fines Session
Many thanks to Patrick Cornish for a good fines session and taking some of those elusive bond notes out of the guys pockets. Gentlemen we are always looking for a new face to do a fines session at one of our games, so please if you feel you can get money from our fellow Nomads which isn’t a difficult job then please speak to Shane Zangel.

We have received 95 entries from Mashonaland and close to 200 entries overall. This is fantastic news and Francis and his team are looking forward to hosting us all.
-Vince Lemming- I am sad to announce that this was the last game for Vince Lemming before he leaves to go to America, Vince on behalf of all Nomads we wish you all the best for the future.
-Dress Code- Gentelmen should you not have the appropriate kit to wear please make sure you place an order with the equipment officer Ottis Masinare who will assist you where possible dress code is very important to Nomads and we should all be proud to wear it. The same goes for prize giving should you forget to bring your numbers one’s to a monthly game please do not attend prize giving in your playing kit rather pay early leavers and go home, attending prize giving in your playing kit does not set an example for the newer Nomads.
